  • Update the negative keyword list to illustrate which procedures were not driving results

The Results

Creating new, interactive landing pages was an incredibly successful choice. Comparatively speaking, Dr. Gwanmesia received a 643% increase in conversions and 114% increase in goal completion. In fact, there was such a tremendous boost in phone calls that Dr. Gwanmesia’s office could not handle the influx.

The landing pages worked well for a couple major reasons.

We defined our ideal audience. The “who” is critical to post-click landing page creation and being clear on your audience is key. This could be the type of users (e.g. people who live in luxurious neighborhoods) to where they are in the sales funnel (at the end of the funnel and ready to buy your services or at the start and looking for resources, i.e. information on procedures). The language, imagery, and the overall message was tailored for a specific audience.

We also had a clear goal for each landing page. User intent is a key consideration when creating any post-click landing page, and the “why” needs to be immediately clear.

If you want your users to make a consultation, have a clear CTA that says “schedule a consultation.” If you want them to buy your product, make sure they can easily do that without having to sift through other offers or CTAs. We had one goal per post-click landing page and stuck to it without diluting the message.

Lastly, we did a lot of test.T here is no exact science behind creating a post-click landing page and no guarantee that it will convert. But A/B testing can help you figure out some general principles. A/B testing helps you determine things like:

  • Are there specific words in your CTAs that seem to improve conversion rates?
  • Do your users prefer certain colors and fonts?
  • Do they respond favorably to videos?

All of these aspects helped us improve conversion and overall ROI.
